12-ft shark carcass washes up on beach

"Beach-goers may have gotten more than they bargained for Monday when a 12-foot-long thresher shark washed ashore in Seaside.

A crowd quickly formed around the bloody carcass, which Seaside Aquarium staffer Keith Chandler called a juvenile.

Adult thresher sharks can grow up to 20 feet long, Chandler said."
