Whale makes rare appearance under Golden Gate Bridge

"Some whale watchers got a rare look Thursday at a humpback whale which suddenly surfaced in the bay under the Golden Gate Bridge.

The stray whale may be a one of a record number of humpbacks now migrating off the coast.

The sightings of whales are becoming more common as they begin migrating south to warmer Mexican waters."
