ASP Buries the Hatchett

According to a recent report, Perry Hatchett's contract as head judge will not be renewed by the ASP for the 2010 season.

Hatchett has not been available for contact and Dave Prodan, a spokesperson for the ASP says that currently most details surrounding the situation are too hazy for him to comment on. He did however say that judge Richie Porta will take over Hatchett's job in the meantime.

"Because we're still working through the transition, we can't give you too much in the way of details," said Prodan. "I can let you know that ASP International Judge Richie Porta will be serving as ASP World Tour Head Judge in the interim."

Hatchett joined the ASP as head judge more than a decade ago in 1997. With the newly revamped 2010 World Tour nearly a month away, this is a major change for the ASP.

Stay tuned to GrindTV for more developments when they become available.
